It's also apparantly the highest rating non soap or sport show in many years, beating the likes of The X Factor final

It was 14.4m for the 1 minute peak when the winner was announced and the five minute peak was 14.1m at 9.50pm.

What a crazy result and a total shambles it was this year. How on earth some 14 year old kid getting soaking wet wins beggers belief. As for Signature making the top 3 is even more bizare. Where is the talent in some fat guy splaying your legs and arms over and over like he's doing a workout etc ??!!

Seems the British are high on drugs and booze and have no interest in real talent as in Escala or the 12 / 13 year old singers...

If one of the singers won there would be even more backlash.

Brekkie - I couldn't agree more. More Talent has been really good fun - like a lighthearted extra you might get for a show on a DVD. Stephen has really been very entertaining - and the mini shows with Piers and Ant and Dec have been surprisingly enjoyable.

All in all, I think BGT this year has been a resounding success. My only comments for the audition shows next year - it gets annoying having awful act after awful act until the end - why not try mixing it up a bit more?

I think Stephen trying to get the dog jump up etc was mean, the dog did'nt know him and was not prepared... stupid twit

As for direction of the show, it was a bit messy at the end when they were rolling out the carpet behind them and putting the rain platform thing down.

I think they would have been better moving them to the small side stage where there is a camera to show people leaving. With them staying where they were it meant a slight problem for the stage crew when rolling out the carpet, as well as the rain platform underside not looking too pretty.

But why, they had the real talent, certainly given their ages, It's all a con anyway if you can vote multiple times

You can vote multiple times for any act though.

George was a better dancer than Andrew or Faryl were singers IMO, especially Faryl who yes, may be very good, but doesn't do much to break down the barrier to make that kind of music accessible to the mass market.

Ratings have been updated, the results show actually peaked at 14.4m.

"Britain's Easily Pleased" would've been a more apt title.
