I actually prefer BBC2's Let Me Entertain You which gives more potential airtime to the performer. Brian Conely really gets behind the act before and during the performance and you get none of that X Factor following them on a journey cr@p you get with the ITV's offering.

Don't forget these are the auditions though...it will all change when it gets to the live shows.

That show was fantastic. I just hope ITV can realise that Saturday nights need more shows like this; VARIETY...

It's a shame they allow singers on though, since singing competitions are ten-a-penny these days Confused I liked the more offbeat acts, they are the best. The axe-grinding woman and rapping granny made me have a Tenna moment with their acts and personalities Laughing

Something funny just emerged on my screen. Turns out a younger Mr Cowell made his Tv debut on the 90s Sky One show "Sale Of The Century".

What's more interesting is on that same website there's an advert from Bob Monkhouse...beyond the grave. Shocked He must have planned for it to be aired this year.

How can Cowell say he's never seen a "Grinder Girl" act before? He spends half his time over in the States these days,
so surely he'll have seen the original Grinder Girl act on Dave Letterman's show at least once in the last few years!

The show is doing really well in the ratings. 6.9m on Monday, 6.8m on Tuesday. I expect it will fall to about 4m tonight but will be back up on Thursday

I like this programme, it's like in the old ITV when they had those Talent shows.

The Apprentice will be the ratings winner, one would think.
