Holden, some of us won't forget what she did to Les Dennis. She was nobody before she married him. Certainly I only vaguely remembered her in Eastenders!

It is best to vaguely remember anything from Eastenders Wink

Poor old "Les Miserable" as the tabloids had it. The slime that was poured on him was a bit harsh, since it was Amanda who was the one having a bit of 'sliced loaf'. The tabloids still try to portray him as a broken men, when it doesn't seem that he is. At least he was game enough to poke fun at himself, courtesy of Mr Gervais!! Laughing

One good thing about this ITV show, is that is one of the few talent shows of late that doesn't involve just singing and dancing. Whether that will make a difference overall I don't know Confused

Really? I never knew!

Either way, the fact that Piers Moron and Simon Cruell will be involved mean I will make an effort not to watch Britain's Got Talent (which is a dreadful title for a programme anyway).

Shame Moron was too toxic to go into Room 101 .

We might as well face the fact that the winner of this new show will still be a young female or male singer, just like Pop Idol and just like X-Factor. You only have to look at X-Factor as an example. It has multiple age ranges and groups of course, but every year a young female or male solo artist has won. I bet the same happens this time, despite the advertising saying that ANYTHING can win. I mean how would they do it? With singers and dancers you can get them to sing or dance new stuff, if they are a juggler, what can you get them to do over the course of so many weeks?

I think the acts on this show will more be more like the Let Me Entertain You and When Will I be Famous ones. So wont feature many singers. Over 14 is the new age limit for the X factor so I think only singing acts under that age will mainly appear. The first series of America's Got Talent was won by an 11 year old singer. The Austrailan version was also won by a young singer.

They could get someone who does origami and get them to make a different thing every week! Laughing

This seems quite good actually - the audience at the auditions definately makes the difference.

Shame it's being rushed out over a week though - could fill Saturday nights throughout the summer quite nicely.

The Monkey Jackson thing was very liked with reflections to Mr Oizo (Levi's ad) I thought.

The guy who just sang Nessun Dorma was brilliant. Talk about making the hairs on your neck stand up.

Really enjoying this so far. Far more entertaining than watching Big Brother.

I agree it would be better as a weekly show rather than every night.

Loving it so far. And I agree - it could easily have been a nine-week run. I think ITV has been a bit too pessimistic about the long term viability of this show.

Also - scheduling it against an established brand like Big Brother is very dangerous.

Yes but ITV need to take risks and at least they have come up with something good to schedule against Big Brother.

But they would never schedule Coronation Street against Eastenders. Why divide the audience? Have no lessons been learned from Grease?
