Oh right, Paul Potts / Pol Pot, ok

bearing in mind I was a kid of nine when he was in power it's hardly surprising I didn't get it

You don't remember Blue Peter's appeal for Cambodia?

No surprise, but The Sun reporting today the show is being lined up for a Saturday slot next year.

I can't imagine Pol Pot is much of an opera singer some how, unless he belts out Kim Wilde's Cambodia in Three Tenors fashion Laughing

I'm pretty certain Pol Pot doesn't do that, considering he's been dead since 1998. Then again, Eva Cassidy died in 1996 and she's still churning them out.

So do Curt Cobain and Elvis...

And there are plenty of "Hitlers" about, even though he died 1945. Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "dead famous"

Very Happy It's just that a smiley acid-raver face can never really fully convey the finer nuances of life, or my even deeper sentiments. Such is life

I know they've made changes to the line up this year but the first season of America's Got Talent (on ITV2) is so poor in comparison to Britain's Got Talent.

I have just downloaded Paul Potts' debut album, and it is absolutely amazing. One of the best classical albums I've purchased.

Well done, you've just made Simon Cowell slightly richer.

Like with all these shows, you see them on the show and think they're amazing.

A few weeks later they're plugging the album and are shown up for what they really are.

So if you were in there position you wouldn't promote a thing?

FWIW, everytime I have seen Paul Potts on tv plugging his new album he has looked very nervous and out of place, clearly he's a private guy who'd rather not do the media circuit, but it's probably written into his contract or something rather than being a money grabbing so and so
