I thought that both BGT and X Factor were using that new studio facility in West London.... or is it just that it's not ready yet?
The Voice and X Factor are using LH2 - but BGT is using Elstree. (AIUI The Voice used a scanner, but X Factor will have a gallery there. How fly-packy it is... I don't know...)
At least the Daily Express and the others have got their first click bait headline of the night "Ant and Dec left RED FACED and FORCED to apologise after EMBARRASING mistake"
Not the biggest fan of the set they are using, it feels far too small for something on the scale of BGT.
Technical balls up handled well, they probably would have been best not mentioning it though, I doubt anyone would have noticed (well, until they started playing the backing track).
It is a smaller set isn't it? Looks good though!! From the judges close up shots though, it looks as though they are sitting in the centre of the WWTBAM arena.
I'm not a fan of the set personally; seems just too small (which I realise will be an issue with no Fountain 😢). Also that irritating band hovering around the studio just looks so out of place as if they're trying to replicate a theatre and is an obvious filler to try and hide how small the audience is in comparison to before.
I'm not sure why they've got rid of the Judge's vote?? Makes no sense to me??? That was the best bit, where they can't decide and they're running out of time with that awesome tension music.
All they are doing now is running a pre recorded video about "how they are feeling"...!?
Good to see they have brought back "YOU.........................are going home!!!" . That was always better than announcing the finalists in reverse order from 8 to 3 that they've done in the past two years.

Why has Simon dropped this??
Apparently it was because the judges almost always had a tie and it went to deadlock relying on the public vote anyway, so they just decided to cut the middleman this year.

It was more tense though and gripping how it used to be!!!
