BGMT gets more and more surreal with every passing series, and becomes incredibly irritating and tacky when it goes live. It's lately just a hotbed of weird auditions, "clever" editing and Mulhern-loving antics. Or maybe I just don't "get it" anymore...

Louie is really putting the boot into Joey this evening. Its like there is some pure distrust here. Thankful there actually no viewers so no complaints will get made...

There is NO judge vote this year, that is a bit of a shock.
Not a huge surprise but a shame as it is a chance for the judges to consider the overall line up of the final in deciding who goes through.
New set looks great - their 5th new set in the time X Factor has had one.
As for BGMT - used to be great but I struggle with it now. Tonights show would be much better if they talked to the acts rather than to a celeb panel about the acts.

Ever since the fourth judge was added there was always the tendency of a tie break between them and going back to the public vote so this probably just cuts out the middle man, goes straight for the vote and thus allows for more advertising, uh I mean programme content
Very nice new set design taking on a theatre style that's fitting with the auditions and the finalists performance at the royal variety.
Did I remember correctly that it is now coming from Elstree?
Yes - I believe it's coming from the BBC Studioworks operation at Elstree Film studios, and is using the George Lucas stage. (The same stage and facilities that Strictly uses)
