They always used to present Wonkey Donkey on SM:TV Live with Dec on the left and Ant on the right but since their break into primetime tv they haven't done this much

I wish they were as natural and laid back now as they used to be there.

I know of it, but I don't remember watching it. They were still fairly natural during the heyday of SNT. They seem to have lost that charm now whenever they present, possibly being a bit too slick for their own good. It only seems to come back when they're on a chat show or in the wings on BGT.

That old spark is still there, if restricted a bit, on I'm A Celeb. While promoting this years SNT I got the impression that even they think their career has gotten a bit stagnant. it sounded like they're desperate for a new challenge so I wouldn't be surprised if they put Takeaway on hiatus again and leave Britain's Got Talent (as was rumoured a few months ago).

I hugely doubt it. ITV will no doubt offer them a very large sum of money to make more Saturday Night Takeaway and Simon Cowell won't want to lose them from BGT so will likely do whatever he can to keep them. I think if anything happens, they'll do something else in addition to SNTA, BGT and I'm A Celeb like, say...a sketch show.

You do know there have tried other ideas, while SNT was off the air for about five years . Also money isn't everything, and those pair clearly dont need the money either. Its anyone's guess what Ant and dec would really like to do? maybe do more film? or produce? If there get out now there will always be on top, instead of a slow death.

I did like them on Play your cards right, and the Gameshow marathon. How about bring back Duel with the pair?

On the subject with BGT, STV is also using that promo, does anyone know if then the live shows will be broadcast this year? End of May again?

Almost certainly - audition shows should finish on the 21st May based on previous years and although there are three friendly matches and Soccer Aid to fit in over the next couple of weeks BGT semi-finals should be able to run either w/c 23rd May or 30th May, though with a slight adjustment to accomodate the live matches. I'd expect the final to be on June 4th.

Do more film? Alien Autopsy seems to be the career move they want to forget far more than their music career.
