I agree - thought the dog would make the top three but it sounded like they were set up to do the same thing again and that probably wouldn't have worked as well - it was a surprisingly entertaining 45 seconds or so tonight. Had me on the edge of my seat far more than the supposedly "dangerous" roller skating act.

Re: the titles. They've been gone a while now. They introduced the Union Jack short sting last year and had for at least a year or two before that used just a short version of the main titles on the show. Indeed I think the new titles with the "stutter" were introduced when Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff were on the show and then the next year cut in half before being dropped completely.

The current 'sting' they're using is awful IMO. They are really flat, lack atmosphere and poorly animate. I'd go as far to say they look like college coursework. I find the gold sting at the top of the show really boring now too.

Otherwise I think the new set is great and the new high-res LED screen is stunning. The throws Ant & Dec make to app voting and the leaderboard etc. really complement one another.

Seems like the camera dept have fixed the persistent juddering from the X-Trak in the roof of the studio too!...

Derek Acorah on BGMT clearly sending himself up, but not in any great style. I'm not sure what's going on anymore and I don't know why I'm watching this to be honest...

I also remember David telling Stephen a few year ago to 'Go Back To Tricky TV' XD

So two wild card acts and the obligatory little girl crying bit.

I do wonder if the little girl is a dead cert for the viewers wild card due to the upset and due to that act being fresh in the mind tonight.

I've voted for Revelation Avenue. Was it just me who didn't think much of Calum tonight? I thought the song choice was poor.

If I'm perfectly honest it surprised me Karate Girl ended up in the top three.
Crying kids on live TV, apart from being uncomfortable to watch, don't usually generate public sympathy in the vote. I refer the forum to the time when Hollie Steel forgot her lines, won a second performance and still finished third in her semi-final, and sixth in the final when she went through on the judge vote. Also there was Aidan Davies who Simon Cowell upset on the final of BGT 2009, he ultimately came fifth.

With regards to the viewer wildcard - it'll almost certainly be one of the group acts - IMD, Boyband or Revelation. Karate Girl is a if you see it once you've seen it all type of act, while Henry Gallagher is an outside chance but unlikely.

With regards to Calum Scott - is it me or is the trend for taking songs that run fast and perform them slowly becoming annoying?

People didn't think it was sincere, I seem to remember - it's different circumstances this time round.

Boyband or Karate Girl I'd say for the public wildcard, and wouldn't be surprised if the judges gives theirs to the other. Also although the judges wildcard usually comes from the top 3 I do think revealing the full breakdown each night makes it difficult to award the wildcard to anyone lower down the pecking order - an act that might not have picked up the votes but would offer something different to the final.

First year though I really can't call it at all - IMO it's been the best semi-final week in quite some time and there is no red hot favourite really going into the final. It's there to be won on the night really.

I would think that the judges could not choose from the top 3's (cause they and the public could choose the same (even though they could have a back up just in case they do choose the same act)) but I feel that the top 3's would have more chance getting the wild card as hey have judges and public not just judges like the others
