I'd just like to say that Paul Lavers as a member of the Scissor Sisters in 25 year's time is inspired casting. Laughing

It's not really Paul Lavers is it?!

It's definitely him! Very Happy

The Brit Awards are now on ITV1.

They've got that bloody 'film' effect on though. Evil or Very Mad

dutyoffice@itv.com is all I have to say on the issue- oh and I've hit my remote's off button, as I don't want my travel sickness acting up.

Brilliant. Matt Lucas and David Walliams on stage as Gary Barlow and that other guy from Take That (from Rock Profile).

That man definally needs to write an autobiography, his career gets stranger as the years go on!

Talking about the idents and trailers, they always go to a lot of effort, they've excelled themselves again this year, probably the best Brits presentation ever.

Complaint sent, ITV1 switched off. Hopefully they will get the message and do what both the MTV VMAs & the Smash Hits party have done- get rid of it. I can't believe there's some people who actually think this looks good.

My god, you take things too seriously dont youm switch off a programme just because it has a film effect on it. How sad can you get? I know lets stop watching TV all together why dont we.

I can't believe people like you actually exist. You sit down to watch a show and just because its filmic or its archive pictures cropped or whatever you then decide to change your whole evening turn it off, I bet you're a right one down the pub/at work arn't you. "Did you see the Brits last night?", "No I turned it off and complained to ITV"

Have to agree Filmic is horrid for a programme like this - It dulls the immediacy of the event. Shows overproduction at it's worst.

However I am still watching it. At least Evans hasn't put his foot in his mouth - Yet!

Why is it people on this forum aren't allowed to have opinions of their own? At least not without being ridiculed. If someone doesn't like something, why can't they switch off, and why can't they complain if they feel strongly enough? Is it really hurting you anyway? Is he knocking on your door, forcing you to turn off and complain? No, thought not.

If we can ridicule someone who doesn't like the production standards on a show, let's ridicule those who do nothing but watch, record & take screenshots from Sky News all day, something plenty of people will think of as odd. I won't- they are happy doing it, it's not affecting me personally and they're not hurting anyone.

But I can see this thread quickly decending into a OT argument, just like every other thread on this forum, because someone dissagrees to strongly with someone elses view, rather than letting them get on with it.

At least compalining about a show being filmic is about 500 steps up from the likes of what MediaWatch UK moan about.
