Yes, wasn't he covered in last year's show? No need to feature him again when it's nearly 14 months since he died.
And on that subject- Andrew Ridgeley really hasn't aged well, has he?
There was a documentary around 2012 which I think is called A Different Corner where both George and Andrew are chatting together which was probably the first time we have seen them together on camera since the 80s.
As for the Brits, I'm pretty sure last year they just remembered David Bowie without trailing a who's who list of who died in 2015 where as this year they did a big who's who of 2016 with those who past away including Bowie regardless of timing of when the Brits was on last year.
Why has David Bowie's name appeared again. I have no idea in how that happened.

That's unfair on James Corden. You forget that before he took over in 2011, there had been several years of very poorly produced shows, climaxing with the, frankly, dire show that Peter Kay presided over in 2010, when the sound was faded out seemingly at random to mute swearing, but they managed to miss many of the swears anyway. The Liam Gallagher 'what a knobhead' moment was the only thing that saved it.
2011 saw the move to the O2, the roaming presenting and a far more polished show. There have still been hiccups along the way (it's five years since Adele was cut off) but it's been immeasurably better and Corden's professionalism helped this improved show get off the ground. I really believe that.
So put on someone who was already dead on their arse before they began.

To be fair, he wasn't collecting awards himself even when he was alive. For example in 2014 he got Kate Moss to claim it for him. He'd always been notriously reclusive.

For the first time in a while, they've not just finished on time, but early! They are usually overunning.
A very tame BRITs. Nothing like what it used to be - no drunk celebrities causing a scene, controversies or mishaps.

You could tell that Pres were playing that all by ear, though. We had quite a quick cut into the sponsor bumper before cutting off the news trail. I wonder if the news were expecting a 22:01:30 on air time, and the decision was made to stick to that. Hence the padding of trails.

And the fact that half the ad break was probably scheduled within the 10-11 hour and couldn't be moved forward or else they'd be in breech of Ofcom regulations.
Robbie should have played another song, you know like he did when we were all waiting with baited breath to see the launch of BBC One's exciting new look!
