The decision to cut off Adele's acceptance speech for Album of the Year was disgraceful. Hardly anyone watches the poor ITV News anyway so a five minute delay wouldn't have hurt. Blur didn't need all of that time to perform as well. Adele had every right to be annoyed.
It's not as though Adele doesn't already get enough exposure. You can't go anywhere now without hearing the dreadfully repetitive song 'we could've had it all'. Her unruly, undisciplined behaviour at the Brit Awards was nothing short of disgraceful. Frankly, I think she is a one-hit wonder, and after last night, a glorified hooligan. That's what I think.

Good day.
Unruly, undisciplined behaviour??? One Hit Wonder, not really considering she's had two number one albums, it's not her fault if Radio 1 & Crapital FM play the same songs over & over & over again and I suppose being a commoner makes you a hooligan does it , absolute nonsense, she had every right to be annoyed with the "suits"
Sympathies on both counts to the singer and ITV, however the reaction was well OTT and she will regret it in time. Primadonna behaviour simply no excuse.
All the comments on a certain other Media Forum are really infuriating me. Ones that say things like, "Corden will never work again after that!", "He'll be living in a bedsit this time next year!", or possibly the worst one: "A real presenter would have ignored the production commands and just let her continue.
I thought he handled it as best he can. He was clearly upset that he had to do it (as he said on the ITV2 show) and it was never going to be popular. But to suggest that he should have ignored the production demands is lunacy.

On this morning's This Morning, Philip Schofield said that after thinking about it, he would most have most probably ignored the request until she had finished.
The way her speech was going, it wouldn't have lasted much longer, and there was time wasted interupting her in the first place.
It was Blur's long speech that was the problem. Tonight on radio 1, Matt Edmondson played out a version of park life in which they'd edited in his Brits thank you speech. It makes you appreciate how long it was, and makes it more entertaining than it was on TV.

So what? She deserves all the success she has gotten. Great singer with no gimmicks or autotune required. We should be proud of Adele flying the flag for us all around the world. Her behaviour was perfectly reasonable I thought. They were bigging up the Album of the Year award since the start, it was the biggest award of the evening and the poor girl wasn't even given a proper chance to speak before she was cut off. The producers could have easily let it run over the scheduled end time to let Adele finish but they chose not to. Can't blame her one bit for being annoyed by that.
Blur are to blame mainly though, if they hadn't had spent so long rambling on in their speech there would have been none of ths uproar and Adele would have been able to speak properly. Shame on them.

Absolutely. James Corden is not to blame for it at all, he was just doing what he was told to do. He had a lose-lose situation really, if he hadn't have stopped here there are other ways.
Certainly with his acting career in the ascendant and the play he stars in transferring to Broadway next month, I'm sure he's not worried about his career
Acceptance speech inelegantly truncated on live awards show shock. Like this has never happened before, it happens on every single awards ceremony. In 1988, exactly the same thing happened with Rick Astley as his was the last award and The Who were about to play, and he didn't even get to the stage before The Who started. Nobody complained then. Everyone just laughed at him.
And there's no point blaming Blur either, they won a major award and Damon Albarn has no interest in how much the show is overrunning, that's the producer's fault.
They could of kept Adele on for longer, the ITV News was shortened anyway by about five minutes, it started at about 10.05 and finished at about 10.27, they extend the football when need be.
Its not Cordens job to igonre the director/producer, can you imagine the chaos if they all started doing it, Schofield saying he would have let her speak, he can say that now after the event, it's the producers fault for letting Blur whitter on with their speech, I think corden will be back next year doing it again.
