But how they allowed Lady gaga to keep saying Bitch, during her act, is something else!

This isn't America. What is wrong with saying bitch?

Doesn't this normally overrun? If anything it looks like it might under run this year.

But that bit was AFTER the watershed!!!

The show started before the watershed therefore it is a pre-watershed show and will have no swearing in it.

If they flash a warning up at 9pm it's fine. That's what C4 used to do for BB when it aired 8.30-9.30pm on Fridays - bleep the first half hour, have a warning a 9pm then swear as much as they like.

Not watching tonight but sounds like it's living up to my comments a few weeks ago about the death of live TV. It used to be the case that such events would go out live and the risk of swearing was just accepted and usually excused by the regulators as one of those things. Not sure if OFCOM have requested a delay for the event now, or whether ITV are just too scared to risk it even though I suspect OFCOM would judge the event realisically.

The song has swearing in it, so when she sings the version without swearing there is a second or so of silence where the swearing would be. It was just the radio version, it wasn't like they did a live 'Sound Muted' edit on it, was it?

Exactly like. Muting at the necessary times just in case she came out with the expletive, which she did not on either occasion. A tad OTT - America manage to bleep only if needed don't they? Why can't our guys?

So rather than having this programme end on ITV1 and the next one start on ITV2 it sounds like the ITV1 show is going to switch channels. I wonder how the ITV1 show will end? Just cut away at 10pm with a 'Turn to ITV2' graphic? STV wouldn't be happy but I think ITV1 have done something similar in previous years.

You can say bitch in America, even in daytime.

Well, I said it last year - but how shocking is the direction?

WHY can't The Brits get it right? Peter Kay's jokes fell flat (although some of the stuff in the last half hour was very funny) in the crowd - almost like they couldn't hear him properly, and as for the awful AWFUL AWFUL direction of the performances - the camera set up is crap, the stage is crap and the whole event is therefore crap.

I going to say what "catherine tate nan" would say. I also found the who show dull lifeless and a tad boring.

It's impossible to do a show in that style and do it well because of continuous screaming fans preventing anything like normal compering to be done. I half expected Cat Deeley to repeat her famous line from BGTPFAPANJCSSSOI.

Indeed, as Peter was doing his links, you could hear continual screaming in the background as if the audience wasn't listening to anything he said.

No presenters ever come out of the Brits positively, I'm surprised anyone agrees to do it.

It was a pretty poor shambles, even tweeting about it was cringeable. Not really many special guests this year either.

Last year it seemed to pick itself up, they'd put a lot of effort in with the Glastonbury themed set and Horne and Corden but this year fell flat.

I do love that clip!!!

That was just a poor show from start until about 15 mins from the end, Some of Peter Kays best clips came as sarcastic clips about what had just happened.

Robbie ended it well though and seemed to be one of the few acts to sing live, that Cheryl Cole song was just embarrassing to watch!

Did notice that at the start of the ITV 2 show you could hear Robbie Williams singing Rock DJ which had been sung 5 or 10 mins before so the ITV show much be delayed by about 5/10 minutes.
