Forgive me this rather personal self-advertisement, but I think this could be big news.

Last night I had an interview by the committee members of my local hospital radio station, Pilgrim Hospital Radio in Boston with regard to a volunteer trainee position that had become available.

My interview by the committee panel took about 15 minutes and afterwards, had very good feelings that I'd been successful. A couple of hours ago, my feelings were confirmed when they invited me to undergo an initial three-month training period starting on October 7th, two days after my 26th birthday! There may well be broadcast work somewhere down the line too!! The road to Look North starts here, guys!!

I am absolutely overjoyed. I'm hoping to stay with them for at the least three or four years and perhaps then moving on to local BBC radio after that, to develop my skills further.

Remember, you first heard of me here - I'll be sure to send you all a signed photo when I'm famous!! Laughing

Today I wrote letters for both Sainsbury's and Safeway in Coventry after discovering there were vacancies available at both of these stores.

I am very excited as I'm sure you can imagine, and this is just the first step on me acheiving my final dream of managing my own Asda store.

Sadly, the job at Gala Bingo had gone, SE. Crying or Very sad I'm not sure they were being entirely honest with me though, and I feel they were discriminating against me because of my ingrowing toenail.

Um - not quite the response I was anticipating... hey, maybe when I come and open a few supermarkets, I might say I vaguely knew you....

All of the Katherine fans care deeply.

And unlike Crassroads and Constipation Street this is real (tm) life.

We should all say "Thank you for sharing," and be thankful for this good news.

(It could even result in fewer sycophantic postings in the Yorkshire & Lincolnshire thread which will be good news to some people.)

this is a tv forum, not a real life forum. most of us care little for what the other people who post here get upto in their real life.

Quite right, but common courtesy costs nothing. If you don't care or are not interested, don't post anything on the subject.
