From the below pictures, we can actually work out the layout of the Breakfast studio...

Here we can the small newsdesk, and Sophie and Darren at the large newsdesk on the right:

On this picture we can see the small newsdesk, and the lounge area on the left:

My guess is that when presenters or visitors come onto the set, they come on by passing the small newsdesk. This studio is a very clever layout.

It would be so cool if the BBC started selling 'BBC Furniture' so you can outfit your homes with BBC things! Razz:

A couple of Breakfast sofas would brighten up my room a treat!

So let me try and get this straight - is the lounge area directly opposite the large news desk? If that's the case, say those two areas are at North and South, and the small news desk is to the East, what's to the West?

Sorry for the strange description!

Peter.

Just guessing but maybe the exit?

Another area with seating. It's used mainly for business and news interviews. It looks very much like the sofa area but with two seats facing each other with another large glass wall. It's got some tacky plastic flowers in vases as well if that helps you picture it.

I haven't seen BBC Two's lunchtime business programme Working Lunch for quite a while, but when I last did...

It appeared to use the Breakfast set with modifications:

(1) Main desk including red-carpeted platform removed and replaced by circular Wales today-esque desk on bare floor; (2) dark blue cardboard/paper/whatever banners with Working Lunch logo and images (e.g. fish and sharks) hung in front of the glass brick sections of the wall.

Can anyone verify any of this?

I think that dark red wall with all of those TV screens in it is to the West.
