Not seen them do this before, but Breakfast was in the garden this morning. It's not often I like something they do but I liked this. Well done!

The weather presenter was with them too (standing in front of a weather vane!). Was Moira outside too - didn't see top of the hour?

How much of a problem is it doing this programme from outside? If a major news story broke, would they have the same ability to cover it as they would from inside?

BIG MOIRA was clearly not chuffed with them for making her stay inside as she kept sneering at them every time they handed over. I think Moria should have been on the veranda thing at the side of Studio 9.

Re. Breakfast in the garden Well done

Breakfast resorting to gimmicks, that’s something they rarely do. Wink

It reminded me of Blue Peter as they were in their garden, and especially as they had animals and kiddies on the show.

One of the best bits was at 6.30 when they went back into the studio, because perhaps they were feeling chilly and in need of a breakfast mug of tea, visit to the loo etc or maybe the producer was getting cold feet about how silly it all looked.

Moira should’ve read the news from the greenhouse and not been on her own in the studio. Then in the case of breaking news she could have joined Nat and D on the Newsbench.
Disappointed they didn’t have a ‘make something’ bit on the show , like having Natasha do a water feature in the Blue Peter pond as a finale.

Unfortunately I had to leave before the end.

Technically it wouldn't be that much of a problem as the BP garden is reguarly used for live TV. The presenters and crew would have to go without some things - less cameras and no computers.

In this case the Breakfast studio (7) is adjacent to the garden, they'd probably just get moira to fill while they legged it over there

Naughty! Didn't think you were supposed to give locations of news studios!

lol - well it was perhaps a good idea, but it was very bodged in practice. A nicer idea is News 24 having Darren Bett outside with the weather.

They blatently copied from Monday's East Midlands Today - where Anne was by the Nottinghham canal (2 mins from studio) and ended up with all presenters outside, including weather and sports!

First it was EMT, then Breakfast, now it's the turn of Newsround live from Brighton seafront with Laura Jones!

I don't know if anyone else saw but when they handed back from the the .30 regional news a man was seen running across the screen in front of Natasha and Dermott just as they began to speak.
