Interesting that Channel 4 are not running the advertised Brass Eye Special but an old repeat - I wonder why?
Was looking forward to some new Chris Morris stuff.

Apparently the new programme, a spoof on paedophiles was pulled after  the recent disappearance of two kids.

Brass Eye Night on E4 was fantastic!

Channel 4 were never supposed to be showing it again when I emailed them after the end of that series. Then they go and show them all on E4. Brilliant.

I also thought he was good in The Day Today with Alan Partridge as the sports presenter. Loved it!

Also, I know it was a spoff news programme but wasn't the studio and presentation just fantastic!? Its the best spoof I've seen done. Bring it back! Also bring back Friday/Saturday Night Armistice.

But, I'd better stop now. I'm going way OT!

Friday night armistice was excellent!! Smile

So was ANYTHING to do with Alan Partridge Smile

No wonder the Beeb are suffering in the ratings - they have axed all the good telly programmes!! Sad

At the risk of stayting off-topic, I just want to say that The Day Today had the best opening theme ever - almost better than the shows it parodies!

Does anyone have a copy of the music they could mail me or post?

I loved all those shows. The Brass Eye night was excellent. I thought some were really weak, but none were as funny as 'entering the hell of Cake'. I remember the fuss that caused at the time.

Oh and I was still at home when it was first broadcast, and my parents didn't like it, so I had to watch on my sisters black and white portable. That was the first time I'd seen it in colour!!

YES,YES,YES!!!
I saw Brass Eye yesterday night and I thought it was fantastic!

BTW,what was that comedy programme shown during the 1997 General election? I thought that was good too! And was it that same programme where you had to 'find the Grandma'? Very Happy )

That was 'The Election Night Armistice', from the same team that brought you The Friday/Saturday Night Armistice, and yes, that was the one with 'sot the old lady' or whatever it was called. I think the last thing Armando Ianucci did for BBC TV was that one-off spoof history of Bill Clinton, which had the end credit
