The Boy from Space

Came as a bit of a surprise today but BFI are releasing the Look and Read story "The Boy from Space" on DVD!

Me too. If this is a success hopefully other Look and Read dramas will be released commercially.

I think it's only being released as part of the BFI's sci-fi season but like you said, let's hope more will be released

Dark Towers, you're probably remembering.

I remember Dark Towers, and Geordie racer. Sadly that one may never be released on DVD, due to the fact the Radio Newcastle DJ on the show is now serving a prison sentence for sexual offences.

Amazon have now re-phrased it as: "Newly-created continuous drama presentation of the 1971 original narrative sequences".

Is this to say that the original 1971 version does survive in some form? I know the drama sequences survive otherwise it wouldn't have been re-shown in 1980.
