Absolutely loved it last night, fantastic drama. I liked the ambiguity of the ending, it left you to your own imagination as to whether he kills himself or not, allowing you to choose a happy or sad ending.

Although is it me or were those 'period' cans of Pepsi and Fanta a bit too old for the flashback sequence? They looked more 1970s than early 90s, but that's probably just me being a saddo.

*I was thinking of the Brookside case too. The Bulger comparison just sums up the tabloid attitude really - headline grabbing is all they care about.*

The public gets what the public wants. If the public wanted The Guardian, they'd buy it and you wouldn't have tabloids.

I suggest when most of the public complain about the horrible tabloids, they should look a bit closer to home.
