Well if you're referring to the old "The Big Fight- Live" music as opposed to the old "Fight Night" music then yes, it was used when ITV brought back boxing, albeit a curtailed version.
Then, on one occasion they replaced it with this unmemorable tune. The following programme they brought back th classic theme, then reverted back to this version! Strange.
I must admit I'm not as keen on ITV's presentation this time around. I'm not a huge fan of having presentation right by ringside and miss the presence of Reg Gutteridge, Jim Watt and Gary Newbon.
I'm guessing ITV won't be overly impressed with the deal they've got out of boxing so far. Not long after the ink dried Ricky Haton fell out with Frank Warren, denying ITV of one of his prize assets.
Warren is notorious for making sure his fighters make mighty slow progress and has put up too many miss matches over the years.
On balance, I don't think he's been as much of a loss to Sky as first thought. They still have access to the big American fights, as well as all Barry Hearn/ Mick Hennessey and John Hyland fights domestically.

Big fright LIVE
Just how scary is boxing? Not as scary as the Yorkshire TV chevron of course.
Not that scary. When I saw some of the boxing however it did look as if they were comforting each other even though one was badly injured because he was headbutted.
However before the news came on, the football promo that appeared showing the footballers materialising reminded me of the LWT 1996-1999 ident and that ident also reminded me of the original Channel 4 idents.
