Anybody seen this on The Box... I watched a bit of it this morning - How much on-screen junk can they fit on there! They had the box logo in one corner, a competition promotion in the other top corner, the music videos going across the bottom of the screen, then on one of the sides of the screen they gave you info like horoscopes, weather forecasts! you could hardly see the picture for all the stuff on screen!

Interestingly, while watching one of the videos cut out halfway through to another video and then some of the graphics failed!

Well it is an information service so I guess it's OK, but just for breakfast.

Similarly, Smash Hits have "pop up" fact captions running during their afternoon show. I've spotted the Big Box Breakfast running info bubbles with weather info for a few weeks now.

Bit slow off the mark from the days of Pop Up Video - now if VH1 wants to redeem itself, it should bring that back Smile

They did have Pop Up Video just a couple of months ago, though I suspect it was a rerun of earlier ones - videos included A-Ha's "Take On Me", Cher's "Believe", Lisa Loeb and Nine Stories' horrible "Stay (I Missed You)" (when that was in the charts Lisa was described by Bruno Brookes, who was still presenting TOTP then, as "the Nana Mouskouri of pop", and she did have *exactly* the same glasses as the Greek singer, but how many 1994 kids would have got the reference?), Ace of Base's "Beautiful Life" and the Backstreet Boys' "As Long As You Love Me".
