The official date for the start of digital switchover in the Selkirk transmission area's been announced today. BBC2 analogue will disappear on the 6th of November 2008. Selkirk will be the first main transmitter in the UK to cease analogue transmissions. Relays at Bonchester, Clovenfords, Eyemouth, Galashiels, Hawick, Innerleithen, Jedburgh, Lauder, Peebles, Stow and Yetholm, currently analogue only, will begin the switchover process on the same date.

Surely these dates were announced some time ago. We already know the exact dates here for DSO in the Westcountry region (July 2009)

Perhaps this refers to the exact date. "July 2009" is a little nebulous.

Our exact dates are 1 July (BBC Two) and 30 July 2009 (the rest). I just couldn't be bothered looking them up at the time.
