Border Television Thread

2 things about Border......no three:

1, Who’s that girl who mostly does the 3:00 news? She looks about 12....and her voice, well gets on my nerves.

2, Why at 3:00 do Border have the shorted Regional news. After the news and Kerrie Gosneys Weather, it’s always a Border ident with Spoon with a view or Home. Are Border really incapable of filling a news program. Don’t they have any silly stories to fill with like ‘birds pooping everywhere’ or ‘pensioners winning Bingo’ or something!

3, who’s the Blond guy I have seen sometimes on the Lunchtime news? He never smiles? Don’t Border pay them enough?

They've always done that, the Border region never has enough news to pad out a longer bulletin, unlike the others.

I do remember someone saying on another forum that Border is apparently so desperate for news that, "if a sheep farts, it's headline stuff"!

How can Channel Report stretch out 30 minutes and look vaguely well made, and Lookaround look awful. Why is it so far behind?

No I love the look for Border News at the minute. That music is just fabulous. I hope they don't adopt a bold colour if they do have a new look, like with Calendar's red and Granada's blue.

I'm in love with Susanna Boccaccio. Is Angela Johnston a regular too?!?! Both have lovely smiles. Is it policy though to start reading the next news item before looking up from their papers?!?!

They should never attempt at gags at the end of Lookaround.

The gags at the end of Lookaround are pretty rubbish. It is so obvious that they are trying to fill in time.

So for Sky viewers, what is the difference between Border and Border Scotland on the " add channels" EPG??

Just the caption - ITV1 Border for the English version, and ITV1 Border Scotland for the Scottish one. The programmes are more or less the same, unless Border Scotland are showing Scottish football.

sorry TELEVISION, i have already commented, but you're right. the studio is awful. The black leather chairs dont do it any favours.

having said that, there is something about it i like. just cant put my finger on it. i think its the way it doesnt look like your average news studio.

Does anyone know what happened to Vanessa Black? She was a presenter on Lookaround in the mid nineteen-nineties
