Border IS owned by Granada media Group. Here's proof.
Quote:
Granada owns or controls seven major ITV licences, which account for half the annual advertising revenues generated by ITV, the UK's most popular television channel. Its licences are Granada Television, London Weekend Television, Yorkshire Television, Tyne Tees Television, Anglia Television, Meridian Broadcasting and Border Television, covering 35.7 million viewers (over 60% of UK homes).

Granada completes acquisition of Border Television licence
Granada plc announces that it has exercised its option to acquire, and completed the acquisition of, Border Television from Capital Radio plc for £50.5 million in cash, as set out in the Granada Media press release of 17 April 2000.
It seems Border has been owned by GMG for over a year!
