Casting for television, theatre and film has always (until now) been exempt from equality legislation. Exempt may be an innaccurate term, but certainly you could specify race, skin colour and age in adverts in a way you could NEVER do such for any other type of work.

Ooh, that Hana Joy looks VERY similar to a "buddy" of mine. Slightly less tanned than Hana, though.
