Why would we do the same as Digital Spew?

Why should Boogie Beebies be a mere part of a generic CBeebies thread? It deserves its own thread.

Because it is a mere Cbeebies show. What's so special about Boogie Beebies?

Because Boogie Beebies is a dance show, just like Strictly Come Dancing. On DS Forums Strictly Come Dancing has a whole forum, as opposed to a thread on TV Programmes forum.

Why knock Boogie Beebies just because it's on the CBeebies channel? If the BBC schools programme Landmarks was good enough to justify its own thread, so is Boogie Beebies.

Which user were you referring to by "it's blown your little gripe out of the water" Ronnie Rowlands? Please explain.

I was referring to your little moan about programmes like that not being on in the 70s. You know what, I don't think I like you very much. And I'll repeat what the other guy said. This isn't Digital Spy. And why should a Cbeebies show have its own thread because it's a dance show? Should we give "Big Cook Little Cook" its own thread because it's a cookery show? No.

I say let the OP have his thread about Boogie Beebies, and let's see how long before it either a) slips off the front page due to lack of contributions, or b) the OP keeps having to "bump" it.

Well I feel I missed out on this sort of show when I was playgroup age (circa 1974-76). At the time, I watched Play School, but I would have loved dancing along to a dance show similar to present day Boogie Beebies.

Why are you saying that? Are you hinting that Digital Spy Forums is a place where anything goes? Are you suggesting that Digital Spy Forums is inferior to TV Forum / The Lounge?

In that case Ronnie, why then does a BBC schools programme, Landmarks justify its own thread? Under your logic that should be a lowly bit within a BBC Schools Programmes thread, should it not?

ps The correct way to spell the BBC pre-schoolers channel is CBeebies. The first TWO letters are capitalised, the rest lower case. Whenever I type CBeebies in Microsoft Word it tends to alter it to Cbeebies, but that's Word for you. I wish I could do something to prevent that.

Not at all, but you seem to think that because Digital Spew has a thread about Come Dancing, that TVF should have on about "Boogie Beebies." Why should we be like them, are you suggesting TVF should look up to Digital Spy? Is TVf somehow inferior?

I don't know, what the hell are you asking me for?

don't care. I've been more interested in the contents of my hankerchief after I've sneezed on it.

(ps, sorry about the shoddy quoting, I couldn't be bothered with multi-quoting.

My lass's sister (think she's 21) never misses Boogie Beebies. But then she has TiVo. And like her sister is a dance teacher!!

... By the way, what difference does having a TiVo make?

She never misses it - partly because her TiVo will always get it for her.

Not necessarily. The fact of the matter is that the vast majority of this forum couldn't care less about Boogie Beebies, and I'm sure I'm not in a minority when I say that the topic is not worthy of a thread in its own right.

Boogie Beebies may be a very significant part of the CBeebies schedule to you, but I can guarantee that for most people here it doesn't play any significant role in their daily lives.

This forum is primarily for discussing television presentation, if you want to discuss something of this nature, I would recommend visiting a forum for Childrens TV.

Isn't TV Home Forum for discussing TV programmes as well as TV presentation? How come we've got threads for Gameshow Marathon and Eurovision Song Contest if this forum is only supposed to be for presentation?

As for your other hint, name me a forum for Childrens TV.

I think you'll find that the Landmarks thread has not been posted in for 2 days. It only had 9 replies and will soon be on page 400 in the archive.

Now you can moan about how much you "missed out" all you want.

Or you could just make a thread about it on Digital Spew.

I quote from the description of this forum "Presentation related discussion".

Although there are now a lot of program related discussions, they mainly discuss more mainstream television programs, and not a Childrens show such as Boogie Beebies.

If you cannot find a forum for Children's TV, it would suggest that there isn't a market for such a forum. However, if you're this passionate about Boogie Beebies, why not set up your own forum?
