Then how would the gravestone know he died on December 29th?
Well they could of added that.
Indeed.

Fantastic advert. Originally I thought he'd recorded it before he died and planned for it to be aired in 2007.

Agreed.
I hope you don't mean in Bob Monkhouse's case Mr Boo
I do. I don't tend to apply words like 'legend' to someone who only told painfully tired jokes. But of course, the minute he died, he couldn't be anything else.

Oh I don't know....Bob was a scriptwriter and gag writer for many comedy greats inc Bob Hope, then hosted several quiz shows in the 60s/70s/80s and appeared in many comedy movies ..he had a career that lasted right up til he died ...so I figure he is more entitiled to the status of legend than most of the talentless 5 minute wonders that parade across our screens these days ...usually emerging from some half baked talent show or the BB house........
but then I guess it's how you define legend?

Bob was supremely talented - television quiz shows and the like only managed to showcase a small segment of his talent; it was in concerts and on stage where the man truly excelled, with his quick-fire joke telling on pretty much any subject.

Agreed. He was a giant talent and is much missed (by me at any rate).
