Bob Greaves

The man himself, Bob Greaves, made a sweeping appearence on Granada Reports, tonight.

For those of you that don't know, Bob used to be one of Granada's main presenters for quite a long time.

Bring him back Granada!!

Ohh... holy wotsits, Granada has won 3 regional awards. Stunning! Although Granada Reports couldn't be nominated, which means North West Tonight has won regional news programme of the year for the North West. Granada Reports couldn't be nominated because it's only been on a couple of months.

Nerr... This Morning on Granada Reports. What's going on!?

On the subject of Granada Reports, am I the only one who thinks that the output of Granada has drastically improved since its arrival? The still lack in-vision weather, but admittedly it's not actually an easy region to stand in front of without blocking something out. After watching all of the other ITV regional news programmes across the UK, I'm actually amazed to say that Granada appears to be up there with the best, if not the best.

Well done Granada.

This Morning used to go on Calendar too in a live link up - don't know if it'll happen this year - to publisise their appeal. I think its something about buying a present and then giving a present to their appeal to help disadvantaged children.

That's why it was on Granada too.

Through the marvels of digital satellite I was able to see that This Morning linked up with Westcountry Live this lunchtime, at about 1330ish I think.

Yep - a nice link up on Westcountry, the presenter desperately trying to think of something to tie in This Morning with Devon or Cornwall. Also a bit of difficulty interrupting each other. Still, good entertainment none the less.

Ah leave the guy alone, Bob is a local legend in the NW and it's good to see he's well. Anyone know if he's still broadcasting anywhere?

Speaking of ex-Granada Tonight presenters, I nearly choked on my coffee the other day when I tuned into HTV West News to see it presented by none other than ex-GT presenter Mark Owen!

Mr Greaves looks kinda like Jim Bowen!
