The current team and editor appear to make a series with a lot of love for programme and respect for the programme whilst bringing it up to date.

Radzi Chinyanganya is leaving next month after five and a half years. Which means we can expect a new presenter to join the show soon.

Slight inaccuracy in that article, saying that he announced the news on Instagram, but the original announcement was actually a few hours earlier on yesterday's Blue Peter, which is how announcements have always been made when a presenter leaves.

A prop showed up on this week's show which looked very similar to something which featured regularly throughout the 90s, which I don't think I've seen recently.

I'm referring to the illuminated ship which can be seen on the right hand side of the screen (10 minutes in):

Which looks very similar to what can be seen on the left hand side in this clip:

Wouldn't be surprised if it's the same prop. One noticeable difference though is the cables, which are clearly visible in the new one, but not so much in the old clip (but that might be due to the quality of the video).

There has been some previous 90s neon in the modern show - the old signature logo used to be wheeled out semi regularly (and look pretty incongruous too) - so it’s quite possibly the same one.

Nice to see but I'm surprised they're using them as neon isn't the most energy efficient and they could make one out of 'LED neon' very cheaply these days.

Ritchie seems a great addition and seems to gel very well with Lindsey.
