I don't think it has, but i'm not sure!
I'm sure the closing date was November the something. So I'd guess that they'd pick a winner by the middle of, then make it.
I'd love to see them go to a lot of effort like going to New York and filming on the Ice Rink, but I think we've got more chance of it being a studio job!
It's a shame that they're only doing one ident, perhaps they could do a all of the winners of each age group had such lovely designs that we're going to make all 3!

Being at work, I obviously don't get much time to watch Blue Peter so I was wondering if anyone knew whether the results have been declared and whether an idea has been chosen. I mean, if it hasn't they'd best get their skates on, it's November in less than a fortnight!! Does anyone know?

That's assuming it will need a studio. Most of the designs I've seen (and yeah I admit that's not many) have been more likely to be computer animated. Just hope if it is CG, it isn't a rush job.

ooh!
The 2001 Christmas Idents were wonderful computer animated productions, if they can go any where near to matching these standards it will be lovely.
Does that mean that they may go out of the idea of dance?
How long does it take to produce a good computer animation like the 2001 idents?

I was actually crazy enough to go in for this comp. Why turn it down! I'm also quite talented in art off the computer too. I think - well not to be too big-headed - but I think mine has a chance of coming in the top 50. Its not like the usual "santa" or "fairies". I can actually picture it, for real, on BBC One.
Its been weeks since the comp closed - when are they going to announce the winner!? I reckon its being judged and decided properly and thoroughly with producers, hence the long time being taken.
