...There was also a good report by Gethin on what happens at TVC during the night. He wandered around chatting to those still working and visited TC7, N8 and N6 in time for Breakfast.
Apologies if this is threadjacking - does anybody have a copy of Gethins report?
I've just checked and it appears I was a bit "trigger happy" and deleted it after I watched it. I'm sure BP is repeated at some point over the weekend though on CBBC Channel.
There was that great interview with Biddy Baxter on BBC Four the other evening, and she seems to be quite praising of current-Blue Peter, but you did get the impression she found some of the "modern" stuff hard to watch.
I'm glad they're cutting back the screenings, most of the programmes these days do feel like they're struggling for content and a huge chunk of the 20 minute show is taken up telling us what's happening over the next week or so.
I just looked at their website to see if you couldd watch the report their but I am having trouble finding my way around.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/bluepeter/ can anyone else find it their?
It'll also mean going back to a more managable and stable number of presenters, a while back it seemed like they were getting a new one every few months
To be fair, there were a few presenter change-arounds in the late 90s - largely unavoidable - because of Richard Bacon's sacking, Romana D'Annunzio spending months away doing panto then suddenly leaving etc. But, from 1999-2000 they had the Konnie/Katy Hill/Simon/Matt team and then Katy was replaced by Liz Barker in 2000 and the four of them remained together for more than four years until Christmas 2004 when Zoë Salmon came to help while Liz was having her baby ( feat not seen since the Val/Peter/John/Lesley era).
Since then it's only been Simon, Matt and Liz's relatively close departures after quite a few years' service that's shaken things up recently.
