She's been around longer than that ...

Well, I know, I didn't mean she was ten years old. Laughing

Sorry if this counts as threadjacking, but I've never actually seen Spoof - what's it like in comparison to Dead Ringers , 2DTV , Spitting Image et al?

Well, it was just a one off. I watched it becuase I like those sorts of programmes, and it was good on the whole. There were some week parts, but it was mostly impressions of CBBC and other TV presenters.

Got a dim recollection that it was Lesley Judd who asked that question during her "In the Limelight" show?

I watched the 2 programmes this week about chidrens' TV from the 50s to the 90s. It was very good, and surprisingly the 4 children who were having a taste of the past actually enjoyed some of the old programmes. So it doesn't all have to be CGI (or even in colour) to capture their imagination.

There was also a good report by Gethin on what happens at TVC during the night. He wandered around chatting to those still working and visited TC7, N8 and N6 in time for Breakfast.

I don't think it's a bad thing going back to 2 a week, after all that's how it was for many years. Whenever I've caught it recently they seem to be struggling to fill the 4 or 5 a week they do now - they seem to have a lot of pop groups on these days for example.

It'll also mean going back to a more managable and stable number of presenters, a while back it seemed like they were getting a new one every few months

Apologies if this is threadjacking - does anybody have a copy of Gethins report?

It was Val in her interview programme "Val meets the VIP's", broadcast on 7 march 1973. Margret Thatcher was education minister at the time and Val asked her if she though there would ever be a woman MP.

The answer was

"I think it depends on who the person is. I don't think there will be a woman Prime Minister in my lifetime. And I don't think it depends so much on whether it's a man Prime Minister or a woman Prime Minister as whether that person is the right person for the job at that time. And it's very difficult to foresee what may happen many, many years ahead."
