Vernon Kay keeps bigging up Friday Download on his Radio 1 show.

Do you have a link to any of this?

It's not an specific instance, just that he's mentioned the show a couple of times over the last few weeks, liking it to a kids version of T4. (Which of course Vernon used to present, but I'm not sure it's an accurate comparison anyway)

I'm inclined to think that there will only be 2 presenters in September? On Joel's last show, and on Zoe and Gethin's, the new presenters were mentioned. On Barney Harwood's blog he mentions that he is excited at moving to Salford with Helen - no other mention of a third presenter.
Does this sound a realistic thought? I think it makes a lot of sense nowadays.

But that means if one of them was away filming somewhere for example (there have been occasions in the past where this has lasted for several weeks), there would only be one presenter.

Zoe Salmon presented the show solo for a few episodes and it worked well. Can't see it being a problem.

In 2000 Blue Peter buried a time capsual in the london garden, do you think they will leave it there (till its due to be dug up in 2029) or move it to Salford?
Same question can be asked about the buried pets.

Are there any Blue Peter pets buried at TVC?

I really doubt Blue Peter will survive until 2029.

Top of the Pops went. There are no sacred cows any more.

Only George the Tortoise. The only other connections with pets in the garden are statues, all of which are portable.

Thanks - that's what I thought.

I'm going to throw this out as an idea for the new studio for the next series. It is a total departure from the Blue Peter that we have known, but I think it would serve the program in 2011 much better. This is the old Short Change studio, and I think a set not too dissimilar to this could potentially work. Your thoughts welcome!

Actually really like it, if it was a bit bigger it'd be perfect, a house motif could work well for Blue Peter.

Those are my thoughts exactly! Obviously a bigger area would be best for performances, kitchen...etc...but the need to have a space big enough for stunts isn't an argument sticks anymore, since Blue Peter's stunts are now mainly on location. Hopefully, there'll be a decent space with the rooftop garden also!

The above link is a Tweet from former Blue Peter presenter Andy Akinwolere showing the sorry state of the old Blue Peter garden during the move.
