So today is the day of the last Blue Peter from Television Centre before the move to Salford. End of an era indeed.

Judging by Helen's tweets though it looks like they might be going out in style with some ex-presenters turning up...

I wonder if the 2029 time capsule that's buried in the garden (presumably) will be moved up to Salford too?

Will Blue Peter be the first program to move to salford or will there be no until next year?

CBBC Presentation will be the first CBBC "show" to broadcast live, on September 5th.

Not sure which will be the first to "move" to Salford, but BBC (and BBC commissioned) programmes have been and are being made at the Media City UK studios the BBC will be using already. "Don't Scare the Hare" was the first I think, and "A Question of Sport" is also recording there.

Will it still be a CBBC office like the current one?

Any word yet on where BP will actually come from when in Salford? There was some suggestion a while back that they may not have a studio at all and just be filmed "on location", and with the number of shows in the garden this year they certainly seem to have moved slightly in that direction.

Somebody posted Media City photos on twitter and it mentioned in his blog that the Blue Peter studio was next to the CBBC one.

Well I wish BP all the best at Salford. How many years do we reckon before it's cancelled altogether......?
