That must be the most understated end to a series ever! Do you think it's the BBC cuts biting the expedition? Shame if it is. Also a shame that Blue Peter ends as CBBC extends on BBC Two until 5.50pm next week!

Andy is staying as he said he would be going with them to Italy on the night of the world cup. You might have guessed that but oh well.

The report from the Telegraph suggests that 80% of the "crew" - I presume it means production team and presenters Helen and Andy are prepared to leave the programme rather than move to Manchester.

I am surprised about Helen, as her family are from Cumbria. I wonder if Editor Tim Levell is included in the "crew"?

It's possible that after her Comic Relief stunt raised her profile she sees her future in London, if she's looking to progress from BP to other non-kids shows.

Although the show has radically improved since 2007, I still think it isn't as strong as it was in Richard Marson's era and such an upheaval could be quite damaging. However, I'm hoping the move will give the show a new lease of life in a way which will attract new viewers. The next few years will certainly prove interesting! Does anyone know when the show returns from its summer break?

Does Blue Peter have a studio home anymore or are they coming from the BP Garden until the move to Salford?

What occupies the studio or space that opens on to the Blue Peter Garden (the old CBBC studio in the yellow days)?

Apparently they're in the garden until some time in October. The series has started slightly earlier this year - ususally it is at the end of September - so perhaps the extra weeks have been budgeted for without the use of a studio?

Currently Sam and Mark's TMi Friday is based there. I think the studio is rarely used though other then when TMi have used it during the Autumn months over the past two or three years.
