Has blue Peter lost it's dog because I heard that they go a new dog called barnaby?

That isnt true. Mable and Lucy are fine.

But with one foot in the grave - they just seemed to be slumped at the front of the set throughout the last year or two, they're certainly getting on. Wouldn't surprise me if they were to get a new dog and retire them.

They are about 12 I think and they are getting a bit harder to look after in their old age. They do wander about the set, but then that's better than them jumping all over the place though. The dogs are active outside the set with ancient keeper leonie!!! The only time they cause chaos is when they are being flimed themselves, when a specific item is on them. I remember that whilst being washed this series, they went nuts!!

I remember Mabel being introduced in the days of Katy Hill, not long after she started I think.

yeah, she was a rescue dog, so nobody actually knows her birthday, hers is just celebrated with Lucy. When Mable was 10 years old, they did an item saying about how many presenters she had been with!!

Mabel joined in 1996 a few months after Katy hill joined. That means it's coming up nearly 13/14 years Mabel has been on the show. Must be close to being the longest serving non-tortoise pet BP have had?

I like the way they havent let the viewers name the new dog, probably best after the recent controversies surrounding that last naming of a pet.

Any need for the yelling. Hardly necessary.

Yes thank you, just remember, nobody likes all caps. (I know, my first user name was full capitals)

Noticed according to RadioTimes.com that Blue Peter is only 20 minutes on the first Tuesday and Wednesday. Surely they could give the extra 5 minutes to it and get rid of " My Say "?

In the last series they really always were rushing towards the end... Shocked

It's not really, MySay only lasts about a minute, and Newsround always starts at around 5.04 anyway. So it's certainly more than twenty minutes.
