Bit stereotypical though, don't you think?

Well yeah, I still don't see your point. The point is a lot less kids are going to be interested in that kind of thing now and Blue Peter isn't such a big show as it was.

If it's selling, it's selling but I can understand why Brekkie is surprised by that.

So? Less readers still doesn't mean the book isn't worth having, that there will be no profit. So I don't see your point.

I see, makes more sense now - but looking at things like the letters and so on sent in, you can see there's still a big audience for things that aren't so electronic.

It's just the sort of things you'd expect to find in an annual are the sort of things now which would be stuck on the website immediately after each show.

Also, just looking at the cover (I know, don't judge a book by it's cover!) the whole concept looks so dated. Fair enough to continue releasing something every year (after all, unwanted Christmas presents will always be in demand!) but I'd have thought they'd have moved it on a bit.

the recent annuals by pedigree have good sales. Since pedigree took over the publications of the annuals, there has been a marked rise in sales, despite fewer viewers than before when the BBC published the books.

and yes bok XX does appear on the spine with 'annual' on the front!

Why?

Video games, the internet etc I suspect is what Brekkie is referring to. It does seem a very old fashioned thing.

Last year, I saw an Eastenders and Top Gear annuals for sale so there must be some money to be made in them.

Does anyone know what these new additions to the set will be?

The new additions to the set will be:

New feature window looking out into the garden, to incorpoate the garden into the studio so that during winter months the garden is still a part of the show.

New wallpaper will feature throughout the set

There will be a permanent kitchen as opposed to the unrealistic free standing units that are wheeled in and out of the set when needed. There will be a mock sink ect here

New carpet will feature on the stairs of the mezzanine area as well as the seating area.

Some of the studio zones will be re-themed. For example the mezzanine wall that was rejigged for the previous series will also have a minor makeover and the big platform (was the treehouse) will also be re-themed. The computer area will remain here though.

It is unclear yet whether the zones will be moved around, and whether or not there will be a new 'bedroom' zone.

I think the changes will really improve the current set, that looks aged depite only being redecorated last september!! Any thoughts on the new bits?
