Sorry about my previous post, I’m abroad at the moment and internet was a bit iffy, so... “Take Two” – but not with Philip Schofield.
Tim Levell’s crap about viewers not liking BIG studios is BBC Children’s spin. Richard Darrell came out with the same crap regarding big studios and Saturday morning progs. If children as viewers did not like “big” studios then things likes of X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing, etc would never be hits – nor would Blue Peter over its 50 year history.
Post Edior,Lewis Bronze, the studio set, has always looked warm and colourful....
The problem with the fixed set is it is so inflexible. Every time something needs changing – i.e. from a make to for say an animal item - it needs a filming assignment in between to change the studio floor.
John, can you rewrite you last post in English please??
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

I think the point is being made that you can't do multiple high-production value items in the studio live back-to-back, which was once a mainstay of Blue Peter. Instead you either have to pre-record some things, set and strike a simpler set (that can be quickly moved) during a film, or do less live in the studio and more on location.
Most shows are pre-recorded so it isn't an issue... Striking a kitchen set and setting a trampoline is a bit of a pallaver...

And the problem with needing to change the floor space??? Loads of programs do it. it's standard procedure for many broadcaster's.

Interesting footage today as Joel directs todays show. The footage of the gallery / set is very reminiscent of the 'golden era' of BP back in the early to mid nighties in my opinion!

Is that on the red button all day Brekkie or just during BP?
Also, are they in studio 3 during that?
