Not sure from reading the blurb to do with next week's anniversary programme if there's to be a full scale reunion ( minus the deceased people of course! ) or just John N, Peter P and Val going to the palace with the current presenters.

Apparently the "longest serving" presenters will be going to the Palace. There was a report in the papers the other day that Richard Bacon and Janet Ellis had been "banned" from attending due to their bad behaviour, but they were never going to invite all 31 (living) presenters, were they? Who cares about Chris Wenner?
So it'll be the likes of Groom, Duncan and Huq, no doubt.
Two specials this week then - one at 8.40pm on BBC2 on Saturday, and then one next Thursday at 5.15pm on BBC1.
The BBC2 special is actually produced by Lucy Bowden, who produced the excellent documentary that was the centrepiece of Blue Peter Night, so it should be good. The BBC1 one is of course aimed more at the current audience so there might not be much for adults there, but nice to see it run on until six anyway.

Although I understand the whole "Bacon incident" surely times have moved on enough to forgive Janet Ellis
Isn't the Janet Ellis "sacking" more rumour than fact, and maybe more myth than reality. She's certainly not been airbrushed out of BP history has she?
(Like Doctor Who, you always have a favourite BP presenter or team. I was a big fan of Lesley Judd. It is sad - for us - that she left broadcasting and doesn't feel the need to get involved with BP stuff these days, but I can respect her decision not to)

Nobody was thinking it was a scandal that I hadn’t married. In fact I announced my pregnancy in January and carried on presenting Blue Peter — with an ever-widening girth — until June. The bump was clear for everyone to see. It’s just a shame that the myth has been perpetuated for so long.

Thanks for clearing up that myth then, I had always believed she had been sacked.

Not bothered about who goes to the place but I think
even
Chris Wenner deserves and invite to the studio. He is part of the history of BP after all. He did make an appearance at the 40th.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure Janet Ellis appeared on The Curse of Blue Peter on Five years ago saying that yes she was sacked...it seems a very murky subject!
