I doubt it even airs much considering they just do two days a week.
I assume the Wednesday show is recorded on Tuesdays so they only need the studio once a week - anyone know if this is the case?
Do we think Blue Peter is another victim of this ridiculous BBC ethos that CBBC should be entirely aimed at just 6-12 year olds?

I know that they've ruined Blue Peter a hell of a lot, but surely there must be some point on Christmas Eve early evening/late afternoon to have the Blue Peter special, or even putting it out on the Sunday.

I'm really surprised Tim Levell of all people has let the show degrade to its current state in such a short space of time. I don't doubt he's affected by budget cuts and there's probably some new blood in the production department somewhere, but the Editor has always had the final say and guidance of the show, and if this is the result then I hope he's ousted soon.

All former editors had worked on the series in the past, thus had understanding of the programmes heritage, and sadly Tim Levell has not. He seems to be changing things just for the sake of change and to be trendy.
Russell T Davies stated today in the New Statesman:
That man [the programme's former editor, who was sacked] was utterly dedicated to Blue Peter. So, they changed the name of a cat in a poll. Who gives a ****?"
