CNBC Europe has a very complex broadcasting system........
Cheshirec is correct, CNBC Europe is in a temp studio as the newsroom at present is undergoing some changes.
CNBC Europe's ticker is orientated to the region CNBC Europe is viewed in.
In the UK, you get the top bar (white) with FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and All Share data mixed with the highest volume trades across europe, while on the bottom ticker (blue) you get the indices worldwide, futures, and options, and occasionally the closing prices from the DOW top 30 stocks and the Nikkei most actives.
This changes in different regions of europe, and in the afternoon, the CNBC/US ticker is used which is different again. (i will gladly explain this if anyone wants me to).
The stock market bugs at the side on CNBC are also regionally based.
Out of the Fleet Place HQ, CNBC Europe streams 7 different threads of the same broadcast, just with different ticker data, bug data, and more localised advertisements (at times) and local updates.
If anyone wants more details about CNBC, feel free to ask, and i'll answer, or contact my links at CNBC for answers.
Chesh, if you are interested for your TVArk affiliation, I have a tonne of CNBC sounds, video, and graphics.
cheers
