Will probably be CGI which will IMO ruin them. Having seen the Blockbuster titles from when they were introduced in 1986 (and it eventually being revealed that majority of that was a physical model) to my eyes anything that attempts to recreate that look will look too polished as the video on the previous page demonstrates.
When did Mel Giedroyc appear on a normal edition of Blockbusters? I know that Konnie Huq was a contestant on the Central version towards the end of its run on ITV and Stephen Merchant was on the awful BBC2 version.
I think they've got the wrong name, I'm not aware of Giedroyc appearing on anything before 1996, so if it is true it may have been under another name? If it was on the original run it wouldn't have been any later than 1986 at the latest? She is married (has been since 2003) but seems to have kept her maiden name. If true, Giedroyc on Blockbusters is a hidden piece of TV trivia if ever I heard!
Oh bloody hell. Dara isn't the worst idea for a host but what a terrible channel to put it on! Gives me the impression there'll be some forced comedy to try and justify it being on CC, but given they're all part of the same family, I'm truly surprised they didn't opt to show it on Channel 5.
