I don't believe the hand jive lasted past the ITV years, having been pretty forgotten for whatever reason by 1994 so it's most likely it won't be around in 2019 either.
Shame really but I suppose looking at the videos in hindsight it looks like a sort of cheesy dance that lives in the 1980s. I wonder whether dropping it was a Sky request in 1994 to look slightly more upmarket?

I wonder if the hand jive at the end has been resurrected for this incarnation?

They didn't have it for the Challenge series.
With it being on Comedy Central, they might have decided to bring it back, for the comedy aspect of it.

Time will tell but it's more cheesy IMO than "comedic", considering the entire charade was knocked up by a bored contestant awaiting his turn. The fact Central used it as a backdrop to the credits in one episode (and Bob Holness made such a big deal out of it doing the entire "pass it on" thing for the rest of the run) is the only reason it was known about at all, it could quite easily have remained internal to the recording.

I like Dara doing stand up just not presenting. His style doesn't seem to suit most shows I've seen him do.
That iPad sitting on the desk is a terrible idea. It looks so wrong as does Dara permanently standing whilst presenting.
There's nothing about this that's making me want to watch. That advert is definitely not selling it to me.

It could be worse.
Here's the Australian version of Blockbusters from the early 1990s which comes across as a complete and utter mismash of styles, using the UK titles, the US boards, some horrible music, a logo that bears no resemblance to anything in the titles, a set that looks half finished and a totally different target audience:

I might be biased as I am a big fan of Dara and seen him doing stand up live numerous times but give it a change, it hasn't even aired on tv yet.
