I never realised that there was a 2nd version of the original Bob Holness era with a very nice key change halfway through.

you may the Commercial released track from 1987: Razz which then for some unknow reason when to EMI library, just like most of the especially composed tracks for STV

Oh sorry... Yes indeed. I have it on vinyl. Very nice tunage. That's not the full version though -- that's an edit -- the full version runs about 3-4 minutes long.

Forgive me if this is a stupid question (I haven't seen the series in years) but why did they always have two players against one? Wouldn't that be unfair?

It was to test the theory that "two heads are better than one".

That how it was created in 1980 in the usa, the two players -white have to cross 5 place while the one player Blue only has to cross 4

It was a "red" player, not a "blue" player in the US.
