Rage muisc has has a lot of people phoning and emailing etc about the music. There are speaking with sky, Thames, and Ed about this.

The claim there only have the following

Longest opening: 20 secs
Longest credits 32 secs

So the middles bit anit coming back!

17/02/12 Blockbusters is back! The legendary 80's quiz show returns to our TV screens this spring. Thames have revived the well loved series which will be broadcast on Challenge TV. Don't worry though, the spirit of the cult show remains the same. Simon Mayo will be quizzing the contestants across the iconic hexagonal gameboard, following the legacy of the late Bob Holness. We just hope that our refreshed theme tune will still incite the audience hand jive!

At least rage music know about the hand jive!

Surely there has to be a longer opening version than just 20 seconds, I'm would be amazed and shocked if Ed Welch and Rage Music hasn't done an 'extended' version.

Ed is not invold in thjs project, but he still gets a credit. Remember catchphrase 1994? He complained and got a nice cheque. So it make sure everything above broad.

it all rage music doing and there were very helpful in explaining etc sky said opening to be 20secs. There be a longer version but it not part of the master package.

The Gold Run music is also available on the web game. When I managed to get through to play the run it started to play the clean tune. Smile

When have Challenge, or any digital channel not done that with their original programming?

I emailed Rage Music about the theme music and this is the response I got from Dianne Stevenson....

Hi Gary,

Thanks for your email.

As I'm sure you are aware, the original music was arranged by another composer, and the music now is a rearrangement.

We have received a few other emails, like yours, asking for the music; however we also need to wait for confirmation to share the track (from Thames, Sky and Challenge). We hope that this will be possible!

Rest assured that we will keep your email on files, and get back to you when we know.

Thanks,
Dianne

So they must be thinking of releasing it if they get the OK from all relevant parties!

After watching 1.5 episodes, I think the obvious flaw with All New Blockbusters has to be the questions. They are just too easy, aren't they?

Yes I think so. The questions always were easy though, but then perhaps not so obvious to a sixth former. There doesn't really seem to have been any trick questions either so far.

I have to agree even back in the original Blockbuster some question were dead easy for sixth former or S6. But it was those Trick double handed questions that made game:

Some wonderful eg:

* "What 'M' was the mouse created by Disney as a girlfriend for Mickey?"
* "What 'D' is a camel that isn't alive?"
* "What 'Y' could be a longing for some Japanese currency?"
* "What 'J' sits in a box...?", at which point one member of the double team buzzed in and answered, 'Jack'. Bob then offered the full question to the single player: "What 'J' sits in a box and decides on the outcome of a court case?" and she answered 'Judge' - the answer was, in fact, 'Jury'.
