A good solid show, the couple were on fire. It was nice that it was essentially the same show and Simon was good as host. If I was picky? The swoosh noise when spinning the hexagon was unnecessary and I think the original way of revealing the board and zooming out was better then just showing it then some music then cutting to the shot.

Fantastic reincarnation. Clearly had money thrown at it. Probably nowhere on the scale of the original show from Central budget-wise but a very good modern day effort, far better than I was expecting if truth be told. An eBook for a losing contestant? Can't wait to see what gets won if the third Gold Run is conquered!
Few things that could be improved on but nothing major. That Hot Spot could do with raising for a start.
The online game isn't bad either

I echo all the points, its great, some minor issues, but overall is its NOT A remake or etc, it's a proper continuation of the classic series,. which I dare say bob would have been proud off.
Some minor issues, but there can be overlooked as it awesome, There could have increase the £5 questions to £10. but the losing prize is worth £80 at least these?
Sky has done a wonderful job!

Bloody fantastic first show if I say so myself! I really hope this got the ratings it deserved.
If this carries on being so good, I could actually see this maybe going to Sky 1 later on.

I with they hadn't put that continuity women on during the credits, would have been nice to hear a full clean ending credits..

Rage muisc has has a lot of people phoning and emailing etc about the music. There are speaking with sky, Thames, and Ed about this.
The claim there only have the following
Longest opening: 20 secs
Longest credits 32 secs
So the middles bit anit coming back!
At least rage music know about the hand jive!

17/02/12 Blockbusters is back! The legendary 80's quiz show returns to our TV screens this spring. Thames have revived the well loved series which will be broadcast on Challenge TV. Don't worry though, the spirit of the cult show remains the same. Simon Mayo will be quizzing the contestants across the iconic hexagonal gameboard, following the legacy of the late Bob Holness. We just hope that our refreshed theme tune will still incite the audience hand jive!
