Someone on Facebook stated better 'fan made' titles have been made are on YouTube, but he's not responded to my challenge of linking to them.

He's probably referring to the ones on Page 7 of this thread.

Yep, on Page 7, but I'll post them again here for those too lazy to go back and look. They're not bad, but each has *something* wrong with them....

Well he's wrong, they're a good recreation of something that may have looked good in the late 1980's and early 90's, but it would have been a mistake to use something like that on this new series.

As I said the new ones are perfect mix of modern and playing homage to the old.

The new show shouldn't be a homage in the same way the Dave Spikey Bullseye was, but more what the series would look like now had it never been off air.

I would like the full titles, but I bet there trimmed theim to fit it into the time.slot. itv used to do it with credits.

But would you rather they cut down on game time or titles?

True but as long as full titles appear sometimes Wink

Hmm, I quite like the middle section of the titles, as the 'city' forms up, and most of the first sequence before the city is okay, but the ending doesn't look right.

Now that I've seen the whole thing reminds me very strongly of the Sky One 2000 titles - especially when the big gold man appears near the start - though I think the theme arrangement is a lot stronger this time around - the 2000 arrangement was very tinny and didn't have the opening section (though it did have the section missing from this arrangement).

It's a shame but not surprising that they have gone for CGI titles. I would have preferred to see Simon Mayo doing stuff instead.

Also, who is Shane and why doesn't her mouth move at the same time as she speaks?

Would you have liked to have seen something like this, then?

I love the way she goes "I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did" she doesn't seem that enthusiastic.

That reminds me of the current version of the All Star Family Fortunes titles!

WhoTV2009 has done a updated version of his title sequence with the new theme:

Again I'm echoing by saying it's a shame the middle bit has gone, but other than that very impressive, the music doesn't disappoint, roll on May 14th.
