It was inevitable. Wasn't it? I wouldn't mind but when 'celebrities' appear on game shows they tend to act like idiots.

Could you give an example of when a celebrity has acted like an idiot on a gameshow where a regular member of the public would probably not also act like an idiot?

Anyway, Paul Daniels is doing it. I can't imagine him acting like an idiot. There is no mention of Debbie McGee though so I'm guessing that Daniels is the solo player.

The final episode of the series will be played by Celebrities as it says in my Applause store e-mail offering priority tickets to the episode.

So is that going to be episode 40 or episode 41??

It says it's the final episode as they are also offering tickets to other series finales in the same e-mail.

It was episode 41, and will be a 1 hour special (I was in the audience).

Was there ever 'Celebrity Versions' of the original era?

There wasn't a hand jive.

They did record the audience humming along to the theme tune with, and then without the music (although it went a bit pear-shaped without the music, so I don't think they'll be using that).

I'm not sure why you didn't mention it in your post, but who were the contestants? How was it played? For laughs or seriously?

I have to say the set is rather... compact.

Most of the line-up was announced by Applause Store yesterday, but the contestants were:

Konnie Huq, Alex James, Paul Daniels, Debbie McGee, Keith Duffy and Fatima Whitbread.

It was played seriously (the contestants were raising money for charity).

I have to say the set is rather... compact.

The studio itself was rather compact, with an audience capacity of around 100.
