Got an application form. The T&Cs mention BSkyB so I'd assume Challenge (or Sky 1).

Challenge were really hoping to get Catchphrase back up and running: , maybe there changed there minds?

I still think there should try and get Shafted on the channel

Thing is, whenever classic gameshows have been revived for Challenge TV in the past, they only get perhaps one or two new series before production is ceased. A couple of previously revived (then axed again) classic gameshows that I recall
here are Sale of The Century and Bullseye. Both came back on Challenge, but were ultimately short lived revivals

IIRC ... Fort Boyard had a short lived revival on Challenge too, although I wouldn't refer to that as a "classic" gameshow.

Bullseye had some issues.... when it come back, and challenge never give its full respect. there tried to me a cheap version of cheap and cheerful gameshow. It was all minor issues but there all added up.

The basic principle was there though, and they'd clearly gone to a lot of trouble to try and emulate the original show. It wasn't a bad effort in all. It was never going to be the same. It could have been a lot worse than it was.

I agree, I thought it was a fairly decent effort all round.

Why are some TV PEOPLE so "unwillingness" to give you a shot at something. I bet if this was the 70s and 80s would have been given a chance but today it like TV bosses think NO chance. its like the old comics from years gone by there can still sale out clubs and tours....

Quiz-thinga was alright but it should not stop them for giving you a chance. There a few other people which seem to also fit this patten,

Its like with the Bullseye in 2006, why on earth did there give to Dave spiky, I dont know any who can be borther with his epsoides, PN was great, but he was the wrong host for this show

Yeah, I don't know who this chap is but if they're not taking a punt on him, I can guess why from that post alone. Nobody would want to take a risky choice and choose a guy whose style is long past its prime and whose only claim to fame seems to be one of those terrible quiz phone-in rackets so you've got this cheap and cheerful persona who's full of energy which seems wrong for anything besides maybe children's telly or on something where even minor charisma can earn you fans from the few hundreds watching.

Not exactly someone I'd want to take Bob's mantle for this revival.

I would have given Greg the countdown job.....he would have been the prefect whitely follow on
