I've been to recordings before where I have heard audience staff tell people off if they see a camera flash in the audience.
At one TV Burp recording the announcer said "If you are caught taking pictures your camera will be taken away and you will be bidding for it on ebay the next day"
Well this is my first proper TV audience recording, so I think I'll be playing by the rules lol!
I've been to watch Countdown filmed about four times and I've taken a few pictures (I even managed to get a picture with Jeff on one occasion), the staff don't tend to mind as long as it isn't during recording, whether it's between shows or after the block of recordings has finished. But as said having an older smartphone (ie not an iPhone 4S) does help. You tend to get briefed by one of the production team before the recording and they tell you to turn them off, the excuse they give is that it interferes with the equipment and apparently it shows on the recording.
But have a good time, I'm off for 2 weeks and was contemplating whether to apply for tickets myself, but I don't fancy the trip down south. I'm quite amazed yet they haven't announced who the presenter will be, considering that the logo and filming blocks have been revealed, surely we must hear something soon?

I previously said I thought they would get a big but unsuitable name to present but as they are leaving it so late to announce the presenter, I am beginning to think it will be someone that most people will have never heard of.
Are Sky still running that free minibus from the Tube station to the BSkyB complex? As I recall, the Tube train journey
takes about 20-30 minutes from central London, depending on the station you go from, and if the free Sky minibus
is still operating (although IIRC it's mainly for Sky staff) that's about 10 additional minutes. So if you're going from,
say Oxford Street, allow about 30-40 minutes travel time before you're due to be at the studio.

Managed to secure ticket for the 12th February recording but the silly people at Applause Store have put four people on my ticket when I clearly remember selecting one person.
Are the people who have got tickets practising their hand jive? We don't know yet if they will bring it back, we don't even know if they will bring Quiz Wizard or any of the other Central elements back but I think it would be wise to practice. You'll want to get the moves right before turning up on the day and making a wallyhead out of yourself.
