Currently sat here watching Paul O'Grady host Blind Date on Channel 5, yet I can help but feel there's something strange going on with the overall audio of the programme again this week. Has anybody else noticed this?

Also, what's the deal with 'Break Bumper' stings?

I’ve yet to watch these recent episodes, (I’m guessing it’s a continuation from the series around Christmas) but have still got the weird into break pan across the studio with the theme sting before another bumper appears?

Yes, they still have this both before the sting and after the sting. As for the audio, the audience applause appears to be faded down to allow you to hear what is actually being said by Paul and more of the music. Some very strange output techniques there.

Isn't Blind Date now recorded in Television Centre? It has bounced around a number of studios since its return.

I’m just watching back last weeks, it all seems odd. Last week’s episode follows on from the last one that aired on December 29th, very odd scheduling, especially as the programme uses references to ‘last week’ that would have been the assumption when they filmed it.

I know that the show is recorded in a very different way than the previous version. Applause Store who provide the tickets to the show states it. In one recording there will be multiple different segments recorded for different show transmissions. So you could go along to a recording and watch segments recorded for five different shows in one night.
